Ideal Carehomes are opening their doors to the community by hosting Christmas lunches for local older people who may be lonely or isolated and perhaps not have any family to visit at this special time of year. Each home will host its own event such as a buffet, traditional Christmas lunch or drinks and nibbles and will provide entertainment and activities for visitors to participate in.
Rachel Bedford, Home Manager at Hambleton Grange in Thirsk said,
'My team and I are very proud of Hambleton Grange. Along with our residents, we enjoy welcoming members of the community and showing them our beautiful home. We hope the afternoon will be enjoyed by all with a wonderful buffet, a chance for some festive fun and a time to meet new friends. We are all really looking forward to it.'
