Staff at Coppice Lodge care home in Arnold treated their residents by creating a pop-up beauty spa to pamper the ladies as a special treat for Mother’s Day. They enlisted local Beautician, Paula Booth, who is a regular visitor to the home, to work her magic giving the lady residents a relaxing treatment.
Staff turned the Coppice Lodge hair salon into a pop-up nail bar to ensure that residents got the full beauty salon experience. On arrival, residents were greeted with glasses of bucks fizz and luxury chocolate before being treated to a hand massage using relaxing essential oils and choosing the colour of nail varnish.
Samantha Kavanagh, Home Manager at Coppice Lodge, said “We were keen to ensure that our lovely ladies had a real treat this Mother’s Day and you can’t beat a bit of pampering and fizz. It was a wonderful girly day and our lady residents had a great time – we will have to make sure we pull out all the stops for the gentleman on Father’s Day too!”
Residents spent time chatting, laughing and soaking up the atmosphere and Catherine Tweedy, who has lived at Coppice Lodge for 9 months said, “I’ve just been pampered and I feel like a movie star now!”.
