Greenacres to host family fun day on Saturday 15 June
Meltham care home, Greenacres, will be hosting a day of fun for all the family on Saturday 15 June at its annual ‘Summer Extravaganza’.
Starting at 10am, there will be a host of activities on offer to delight all age groups including a bouncy castle, balloon making, face-painting, pony petting, a raffle, plus stalls selling a variety of items such as greetings cards, flowers, jewellery and cakes.
Foodies will be able to enjoy a BBQ selling delicious home-griddled food and there will also be live entertainment from singer, Rick Fry.
Revellers can get a slice of the action for just £1 per person with all proceeds going to the home’s residents’ fund.
Tracey Simpson, care home manager, said: “We’ve been working hard to make this year’s summer extravaganza our best yet and staff and residents are very excited to show off their home to the general public. We’re also looking forward to welcoming Town Mayor, Councillor Kate Buchanan to Greenacres.
“It really is going to be a fantastic day out for all the family with something for everyone to enjoy – we hope people will come along and support us and see what’s on offer!”
