Woodthorpe Lodge will officially open on Saturday 28th September
Strictly Come Dancing’s Flavia Cacace will be waltzing into Loughborough next week as she opens the town’s newest care home, Woodthorpe Lodge.
The Strictly star will be joining Woodthorpe Lodge’s General Manager, Preet Hundal, and Registered Care Manager, Tracy Taylor, on Saturday 28th September to mark the official opening.
The local community is invited to join the opening day celebrations from 10am, with guided tours of the luxury facilities and the chance to meet the staff who will care for residents and their families. Refreshments and snacks will be served throughout the event.
Guests will also have the opportunity to meet Flavia and get photographs and autographs from 11am. Youngsters from Loughborough Dance School will perform an acrobatic dance for Flavia and guests at 1pm and Flavia will then declare the home officially open with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Preet Hundal, Woodthorpe Lodge General Manager, said: “We cannot wait to open our doors to the community and show them all the excellent facilities that Woodthorpe Lodge has to offer. It’s an honour to have Flavia join us on the day and we’re sure she’ll add some glamour to our official launch. Over the past few months we’ve been getting to know our local community really well and we’re thrilled to have the children from Loughborough Dance School performing for us on the day. We hope the whole community can join us for this celebration as we settle into our new home.”
Stacey Linn, Ideal Carehomes Director, added: “The team at Woodthorpe Lodge have been working really hard behind the scenes for months so it will be fantastic to mark the official opening with a real community celebration. Dancing is one of the activities that our residents love to get involved in, and they all love to watch Strictly when it returns to our screens each year, so we thought who better to open our latest home than the queen of the Strictly dance floor. We are thrilled to be welcoming Flavia to our new home in Loughborough and I’m sure she will receive a warm welcome from the local community.”
The home’s operator, Ideal Carehomes, has invested £10million in the new site, which has been built by sister-company LNT Construction. Once fully staffed it will employ over 50 people.
Situated on John Boden Way, Woodthorpe Lodge will provide 24-hour residential and dementia care for 66 residents in a modern and luxurious setting, providing high-quality personalised-care on an inclusive fee basis. Residents will be able to enjoy the home’s state of the art facilities, which include a hair salon, cinema room and landscaped gardens, as well as a packed schedule of entertainment and events without extra cost.
Everyone is welcome to attend the opening event and there is no need to book. To find out more about Woodthorpe Lodge, contact 0800 029 1988 or visitwww.idealcarehomes.co.uk
