Staff at Ideal Carehomes are celebrating after reaching the regional finals of the Great British Care Awards.
Carers, managers and residents from 12 of the group’s homes have made the regional shortlists after being chosen by judges out of hundreds of nominations from care homes across the country.
Ideal Carehomes’ Yorkshire finalists include Ashworth Grange, Ebor Court, Handley House, Greenacres, and Windsor Court. Ash Tree House, De Brook Lodge and Brinnington Hall are flying the flag for the North West and Beaumont Hall, Bowbridge Court, Coppice Lodge, and Fairway View are Midlands finalists.
Windsor Court in Wetherby is up for three awards, including the Care Team of the Year award. Home Manager, Paula Mountjoy, is nominated for the ‘Putting People First’ award. She said:“I am over the moon to see so many nominations and I’m honoured to be up for an award myself. The residents’ quality of life is the absolute priority for me and I strive to provide the best person centred care to each individual. As a team we put the residents at the heart of everything we do and to receive the nomination for the Care Team of the Year award is testament to their hard work and commitment to delivering the highest standards of care.”
Stacey Linn, Ideal Carehomes Director, added:“The Great British Care Awards are highly respected in the industry and shine a well deserved spotlight on those that go above and beyond in their role, delivering the highest standards of care. We are incredibly proud of all our finalists, who make a real difference to the lives of their residents. It’s fantastic to see them getting the recognition they deserve and I wish them all the best for the finals.”
The Great British Care Awards celebrate excellence across the care sector, paying tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work. The finalists will attend a gala dinner where they find out if they have made it through to the national round of the awards.
