Sandbach’s latest luxury care home development, Elworth Grange, welcomed the town’s Mayor in a ceremonial ‘topping out’ this week as the build moves forward ahead of the grand opening early next year.
Situated on James Brindley Drive, Ideal Carehomes’ newest home has benefitted from a £10M investment and will provide 24-hour residential and dementia care for 66 residents, as well as bring 50 jobs to the area, once fully staffed.
Councillor Mike Muldoon, Mayor of Sandbach, was greeted at the ceremony by LNT Construction Site Manager, Craig Morgan. Councillor Muldoon was given a tour of Elworth Grange’s state-of-the-art facilities, which will include a cinema room, hair salon, tea room and luxurious Sky Bar, as well as the spacious bedrooms, with en-suite wet rooms. The Mayor then planted a tree in the grounds of home as an ode to the ancient practice of ‘topping out’ a new building in order to appease the tree-dwelling spirits which may have been displaced in its construction.
Craig Morgan said: “It’s been wonderful to meet the Mayor and for him to be involved in such an exciting time of our build. The home is coming along nicely and I know the future residents will enjoy living here when the home officially open the doors next year.”
Councillor Mike Muldoon, Mayor of Sandbach, said: “From the future residents that will live at Elworth Grange to the jobs created throughout construction and when in operation, I am sure the home will have a really positive impact on our local community. Coming from a construction background myself, I was extremely impressed with the design and sustainability credentials at Elworth Grange and from looking at other Ideal Carehomes, I know it will be a tremendous place to live and work.”
