The team received a Care Quality Commission (‘CQC’) rating of ‘good’ earlier this year which was the inspiration behind Home Manager, Stefan Brunt’s, decision to host an awards ceremony for his team.
The award categories included ‘Best Senior Carer’, ‘Best Night Staff of the year’, ‘Overall Staff Member of The Year’.
The winners of each category were anonymously voted for by fellow team members, residents and visitors. The home received over 300 votes in total. The winners were each given a bottle of prosecco which was personalised to mark their achievement.
Angela Mcloughlin, Senior Care Assistant and winner of ‘Overall Staff Member of the Year’ said ‘It has been a fantastic evening. I am so pleased to have won best overall carer, I am extremely flattered. I’m thrilled to know how valued I am in the team; I take huge pride in my work so this means a lot’.
Stefan Brunt, Home Manager, said ‘The Larkhill Hall team have been incredible this year and I am really proud of everyone, we have had a lovely time celebrating everybody’s achievements and the residents really enjoyed watching the ceremony’.
Dave Threlkeld, resident at Larkhill Hall said ‘I think everyone here is a star! I was very pleased to be asked to take some photographs of the event, after retiring from my career as a photographer it was nice to reignite my passion once more.’
