Christina Durnan Regional Director - North West
I like nothing more than spending time with the people who live with us, listening to what they want from their home and making it happen.
Christina has 18 years of experience working in the care industry, specialising in mental health and elderly care. Christina has worked in a variety of environments that care for people with varying mental health illnesses for people of different ages.
Christina has completed the Dementia Champion training with the Alzheimer’s Society and uses her experiences and training to guide her staff team. Christina is passionate about providing high quality person-centred care, building and developing a team of staff who are able to provide the highest standards with compassion and a natural flair for care.
Christina believes that the smallest details matter and encourages her staff team to think outside the box when it comes to elderly and dementia care, and in particular in regards to daily activities for the residents.
Christina wants the residents to have a voice and to be in control of what happens in their homes and in their lives, from carrying out staff interviews to choosing wallpaper for the home, and she hosts regular meetings to ensure that everyone’s voice is heard.
