A Castleford care home is calling on the local community to help raise donations for local families in need, after joining forces with Castleford Street Kitchen.
Newfield Lodge on Brookfield Avenue is collecting donations of warm clothes and food for the local charity, which runs a weekly hub in the town centre where individuals and families in need can get warm clothes, a hot drink and a meal free of charge. The care home will act as a local donation point for the community to drop in and leave supplies for the charity to pass on to those in need.

Help Nancy receive 100 cards for milestone celebration at De Brook Lodge
An Urmston care home is calling on the local community to help them celebrate a resident’s milestone birthday. De Brook Lodge resident, Nancy Danson, will turn 100 on 21st October and staff and residents at the home are aiming to receive 100 birthday cards in time for her big celebration.

Herald Lodge care home in Coventry has joined forces with Hereward College to make a students’ dream of becoming an entertainer a reality.
Performing Arts student, Joel McCormack, has been entertaining the residents at Herald Lodge over the summer with his DJ sets, which have been so well received that he has been invited to become a permanent entertainer.

Loughborough’s newest care home, Woodthorpe Lodge, welcomed a very glamorous guest through its doors at the weekend as it celebrated its grand opening with a community event.
Former Strictly Come Dancing star Flavia Cacace joined Woodthorpe Lodge’s General Manager, Preet Hundal, and Registered Care Manager, Tracy Taylor, to mark the new care home as officially open with a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

Kind-hearted residents, staff and visitors at a Batley care home are joining forces to support local families in need, following reports that local food banks are running low on stock.
Lydgate Lodge on Soothill Lane is collecting donations for Batley Food Bank, which aims to provide enough food for the whole family for three meals a day for one week. A collection box has been set up in the care home's reception area and there has already been an overwhelming response.
