Arnold Care Home Team Mark Decade of Dedication

Three dedicated staff members at Coppice Lodge care home in Arnold recently celebrated ten years of loyal service since the opening of the home in 2012.

Marking their ‘Decade of Dedication’ was Kitchen Manager, Charlotte Wood, Kitchen Chef, Gillian Pool and Head of Housekeeping, Catherine Simmons.

The three were presented with a beautiful hamper, flowers and vouchers by the Mayor of the Borough of Gedling, Peter Barnes and the Deputy Mayor, Sandra Barnes, as a thank you for their work.

Mayor Peter Gelding said he ‘loves to visit’ Coppice Lodge’, stating how important the care home is for the local community, and thanked the staff for inviting him and his wife to their tenth anniversary celebrations.

Gillian Pool said,

“It has been amazing to see the home grow into the incredible place it is today. I would like to thank everyone for my wonderful gifts, and the support I have had over the last ten years from Ideal Carehomes.”

Local entertainer and songbird, Ami Evans from Bluebird Entertainment, performed her ‘Summer Time’ themed set for residents, staff and guests.

Afterwards, attendees enjoyed a buffet, cakes and a glass of wine, raising a toast to Coppice Lodge’s tenth birthday and it’s committed team members.

The Home Manager at Coppice Lodge, Alex Field, said,

‘I am so proud of each one of our brilliant Coppice Lodge staff for their loyalty and dedication to their roles at our home. We sincerely appreciate your efforts to go above and beyond to provide our residents with the best care possible – again, congratulations on achieving this milestone anniversary with us!’

Coppice Lodge, located on Coppice Road in Arnold, is a purpose-built, luxury residential and dementia care home with 64 ensuite bedrooms. Close to local services and amenities, it is rated good by the Care Quality Commission.
