Brize Norton’s Newest Care Home Development Welcomes Parish Council Chairman to Mark Final Stages of Construction

Brize Norton’s latest luxury care home development, Brize Meadow Lodge, welcomed the Chairman of Brize Norton Parish Council, Wendy Way, to mark the final stages of construction, as the newly built home progresses towards it’s opening in April.

Brize Meadow Lodge sits on the brand-new housing estate, Brize Meadow in Brize Norton, which is home to the largest RAF Station in the country.

The care home is located on Miles Drive and will be care provider Ideal Carehomes 36th home. It will provide 24-hour residential and dementia care for its residents, as well as bring 65 jobs to the area, once fully staffed.

Parish Council Chairman, Wendy Way, was greeted by the Home Manager at Brize Meadow Lodge, Mandy Vettraino, and Front of House Manager, Jack Tunley.

The Chairman was given a tour of the EPC ‘A’ rated care home, built to be energy efficient and environmentally friendly, which will include 66 spacious bedrooms with en-suite wet rooms, a cinema room, hair salon, and landscaped sensory gardens.

A tree was then planted in the grounds of the care home, as an ode to the ancient practice of ‘topping out’ a new building, in order to appease the tree-dwelling spirits which may have been displaced in its construction.

Impressed by the use of solar panels and ground source heat pump technology, giving the home the ability to operate as a Carbon Free Green home running without the use of gas, The Chairman Wendy Way said,

‘It was a pleasure to visit the Brize Meadow Lodge site and tour the state-of-the-art facilities that will soon be available to our community.

I have every confidence that Brize Meadow Lodge will provide a warm and welcoming home for those in need of care in and around Brize Norton, and I look forward to visiting again once their doors are open.’

Mandy Vettraino said,

‘I’d like to thank Chairman of the Parish Council, Wendy Way, for joining us to mark this special event at our new home – it was an absolute pleasure to meet her.

‘Brize Meadow Lodge is coming together nicely, and I’m sure our future residents will love what the home and our team has to offer. I’m especially looking forward to welcoming the local community to see the new facilities in the coming months.”

Mandy and the team will be hosting an exclusive preview day on Saturday 29th April, which will provide an opportunity for local people to explore the first-class facilities and marketing suites and learn more about the Brize Meadow Lodge lifestyle including their all-inclusive fee.

The preview day will run from 11am to 3pm – there is no need to book, and guests will receive complimentary refreshments and a gift bag.

Brize Meadow Lodge is currently recruiting for their team, with starting salaries at around £23,800 per annum – current opportunities can be found at www.idealcarehomes.co.uk/careers.
