Residents and staff members at Elworth Grange care home in Sandbach have been fundraising for Breast Cancer Now, in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Dressed head-to-toe in pink, everyone at Elworth Grange came together with local families to play fundraising games and enjoy lots of delicious pink treats.
89-year-old resident, Connie Samples, said, ‘I have unfortunately lost close friends to breast cancer, so it’s very important to support and donate for such important research.’
The Home Manager at Elworth Grange, John Craig, added, ‘Breast Cancer Now is a charity that is close to our residents’ and staff members’ hearts, so it was great to see so many people come together to offer their support.
‘Everyone looked fantastic in their pink outfits!’
Elworth Grange is also inviting their local community to their Coffee Morning on the second Tuesday of each month from 10:30 until 12:00. All are welcome to enjoy a cuppa and a chat with the Elworth Grange residents over some delicious homemade refreshments.
