Residential and dementia care home operator, Ideal Carehomes, have launched their third annual prestigious awards, the Ideal Care Awards.
The Ideal Care Awards seek to recognise the hard-work and dedication demonstrated by Ideal Carehomes’ team members across all 30 of the operator’s care homes.
Nominations for the awards are open to all, with 14 categories to vote in ranging from Newcomer of the Year, to Masterchef of the Year and Home of the Year.
There is also a special category created with residents in mind, called the Resident Outstanding Contribution Award. This award gives credit to those residents who are the life and soul of their homes, joining in with activities and making the most of every day.
After nominations close on 26th August 2022, a judging panel will choose five finalists in each category.
Those finalists will receive a ticket to a glitzy ‘dress to impress’ awards ceremony on 10th November 2022, held at the Casa Hotel in Chesterfield. The costs of travel, meals and an overnight stay will all be covered by Ideal Carehomes for each finalist.
Head of Development and Engagement for Ideal Carehomes, Sarah Colling, said, ‘We hosted the first Ideal Care Awards in 2019 and the response was phenomenal and surpassed even our expectations. We just knew we had to make it an annual event!
‘Our teams show remarkable acts of care and support each and every day, and our awards ceremony is our chance to show to them how much we appreciate their efforts.’

Lifestyle Manager at Ebor Court care home in York, Susie Carman, won an award for Lifestyle Manager of the Year in 2021. She said ‘The Ideal Care Awards is such a great event, and we all have a fabulous night together. I truly feel that we all appreciate each other, and what we do in our care homes.’
