Residents and staff members from Lime Trees care home in Shrewsbury donated £300 to Hope House Children’s Hospice, having fundraised throughout 2023.
Lime Trees collected donations through the care home’s community events, such as their Winter Fair and their in-house sweet shop.
94-year-old resident Roy Brook said, ‘Hope House Childrens Hospice is a very good cause. I hope this money helps those who need it.’
Bekki Fardoe, an Area Fundraiser at Hope House in Shrewsbury, commented, ‘We are very grateful to have had the support from Lime Trees Care Home throughout 2023 with their various fundraising activities.
‘The money they have raised will help ensure that we can continue to support seriously ill children and their families from across Shropshire, Cheshire, Mid and North Wales with vital respite stays. Thank you to everyone who took part and donated to their fundraising.’
Karen Williams, the Home Manager at Lime Trees, added, ‘There’s a huge sense of community at Lime Trees, so it’s important to us all to do what we can to help others.
We’d like to thank everyone who donated to our Hope House Childrens Hospice fundraiser.
‘We’re also looking forward to inviting the children and families at Hope House Childrens Hospice to Lime Trees, where they can use our luxury cinema room and meet our wonderful residents.’
