Sandbach Care Home Prepares to Invite Community to Open Day

Elworth Grange care home in Sandbach are getting ready for an Open Day to celebrate the official opening of their final rooms to the public on 12th November.

Opened in 2020 during the height of the pandemic by Dr Hilary Jones via online video, Elworth Grange offers 66 stylish en-suite bedrooms, and provides 24-hour, person-centred residential and dementia care, encouraging an active and aspirational lifestyle. Dr. Hilary said,

‘The care workers do an amazing job – keep up the good work, I am very proud of you and I think you are inspirational’.

Since then, the care home has been thriving, hosting regular events such as coffee mornings and support groups, playing a key role in their community.

In celebration of the launch of their final rooms, staff and residents at Elworth Grange would like to welcome their local community to an Open Day at the care home on Saturday 12th November.

At 11am, Councillor Kathryn Flavell, the Mayor of Sandbach, will cut the ceremonial ribbon, marking the release of the final rooms.

Guests will then be welcome to tour the care home’s luxury facilities, including plush a cinema room, café, hair salon, lounges and landscaped gardens.

With live entertainment from Sassy Grey, stalls from local businesses and homemade refreshments prepared by the care home’s kitchen team, the staff and residents at Elworth Grange are looking forward to showing their community what the home has to offer.

Sarah Rodger, the Registered Care Manager at Elworth Grange, has been at the home since it first opened in 2020. She said,

‘Over the past two years, we’ve taken to time to get to know our residents, allowing them to make our home their own. We’re thrilled to now be able to release our final rooms to the community, and welcome new residents into the Elworth Grange family.

‘All of our bedrooms are equipped with beautiful, fitted furniture, flat screen televisions and a mini fridge, so that our residents can relax in the privacy of their own space. Our residents also have the option of taking part in fun and diverse activities such as baking, armchair exercise classes and cinema nights each day.

‘We hope our friends and neighbours will come along to our Open Day to meet our friendly staff, and chat to our residents about our beautiful home.’

Elworth Grange is a purpose-built, luxury residential and dementia care home operated by Ideal Carehomes. With an all-inclusive fee, residents will have peace of mind without having to worry about extra costs.
