Residents from Lime Trees care home in Shrewsbury welcomed families in the community to their spooktacular Halloween Party recently.
Dressed in their scariest costumes, residents and guests enjoyed apple bobbing, face painting, a disco, and prizes for the best costumes.
82-year-old resident, Pauline Alderson, said about the Halloween Party, ‘I thought it was absolutely wonderful! The children were having lots of fun, and they were wet through from apple bobbing.’
One resident’s family member who brought their children added, ‘Our boys loved it – all three of them had their faces painted. Thanks so much for a great day.’
Karen Williams, the Home Manager at Lime Trees, said, ‘It was fantastic to see the community come together and to watch our residents form new friendships.
‘The Halloween Party also brought back a lot of childhood memories for our residents, so it was incredible to listen to their stories about past Halloween experiences during the celebrations.’
The residents at Lime Trees are also inviting local families to their Stay and Play event every Friday. From 9:30, all are welcome to bring along their little ones for some fun and games, as well as healthy snacks and refreshments.
