Studley Care Home Host Afternoon Tea for Local Carers

Haywood Lodge care home in Studley recently hosted a coronation themed afternoon tea for carers in Redditch who are supported by local charity, Carers Careline.

Carers Careline aim to promote the wellbeing of adult carers in the area, offering them counselling, support group activities and helpful information to guide them.

Gathering in Haywood Lodge’s social lounge, guests at the afternoon tea enjoyed hot drinks and homemade scones from the home’s kitchen team. Erica Gibson-Di Meo, the Chief Executive Officer at Carers Careline, said,

‘We’d like to thank everyone at Haywood Lodge for looking after us all. As we care for other people every day, it’s so nice to be cared for ourselves. The food was amazing!’

Georgia Cooney, the Home Manager at Haywood Lodge, said,

‘It was a privilege to be able to support and spoil everyone at Carers Careline for the day. They are amazing, caring people, who commit themselves to supporting other people – we’re glad we could put a smile on their faces, and we hope to see them again in the near future.’

Haywood Lodge are also inviting key workers to their weekly Blue Light Breakfast, every Friday from 11:30. Emergency service workers are welcome to come into the home for a breakfast sandwich and a hot drink as a thank you for all of their hard work.
