‘My name is Ben Tilson and I’m 77 years young. I moved into Littleton Lodge in July 2023 from Luton to be closer to my nearest and dearest, and I have loved every moment.
‘When looking for care, I wanted to know that someone would be there for me should I need them 24 hours a day. I love company, and that’s what I have here!
‘I get up in the morning and the wonderful team brings me a nice hot drink to my bedroom. I get ready and head downstairs, where I join all my friends for a delicious breakfast in the lounge. Mealtimes here are lovely, we sit with each other and catch up on all the latest headlines and the activities we’re doing that day.
‘So far, I’ve taken part in crafting sessions, movie clubs in the cinema room, gardening, and exercise classes, and that’s just the beginning! I especially enjoy taking trips to the garden centre and to the local pub for a meal.
‘Last Christmas, I dressed up as Santa and the care team took me to deliver gifts to children at Sandwell General Hospital – I love putting a smile on people’s faces and spreading joy in our community. It’s a wonderful feeling.

Littleton Lodge are welcoming over 65’s in the community to their monthly ‘Come Dine With Me’ event on the first Wednesday of every month. All are welcome to come along and enjoy a homecooked meal with the residents at Littleton Lodge.
