Wakefield Care Home Rated One of Best in Yorkshire by Residents and Their Families
Wakefield care home, Hepworth House, has been named a ‘Top 20 Care Home in Yorkshire and the Humber’ in the prestigious carehome.co.uk awards.
Recently rated as one of only seven residential and dementia care homes in England that are ‘OUTSTANDING’ in all key lines of enquiry by the CQC (Care Quality Commission), this is Hepworth House’s second carehome.co.uk award since opening in 2021.
Carehome.co.uk is a UK based care home review platform where residents, their families and their friends can rate care homes and leave comments about their experiences.
Reviewers are asked for their opinion on key parts of care home life and Hepworth House has been given five-star ratings in every review for cleanliness, food and drink, treating people with dignity and overall experience.
The awards recognised Hepworth House’s impressive review score of 10/10 on the leading care home comparison site.

One resident who stayed at Hepworth House for respite care left a glowing review, saying,
‘Every member of staff was helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good, an excellent choice every day. I had lots of visitors and they were made to feel welcome.
‘I felt I had plenty of support, I was very comfortable and didn’t want for anything. I will definitely recommend Hepworth House to anyone who asks.’
Another review, left by a resident’s family member, states,
‘My [loved one] has been a resident at Hepworth House for five weeks and he loves it there, hardly surprising when he is surrounded by such caring, friendly staff who from day one made him feel so welcome and part of the Hepworth House family. Nothing is too much trouble and questions are met with patience and understanding.’
