To all our residents, relatives and friends,
As you know, the Prime Minister has urged us to avoid all unnecessary social contact in a bid to delay and contain the outbreak of the Coronavirus. We also know that this measure is particularly important for people over 70.
We would therefore like to reiterate our current policy for visiting our homes which is not to visit unless it is absolutely necessary.
There are many other ways to contact your loved one during this time and we will do everything we can to help organise continued communication between our residents and their families and friends. Lots of relations are already utilising FaceTime to video call, and many are also returning to traditional pen and paper in order to send letters to our residents – which is proving to be a great boost for everyone when the post arrives each day.
We would be happy to pass emails to our residents and of course you are able to call us at any time. Our Facebook pages remain a constant source of activity where you can keep up to date on everything we are getting up to. All our contact details are on the dedicated Coronavirus page on our website, where you can also find our latest updates: https://www.idealcarehomes.co.uk/corona-virus-important-information/
Please do note that our visitor policy is subject to change as we continue to follow guidelines from the government and Department of Health, as well as our additional procedures in order to protect the people who live and work with us.
At some point, this may mean temporarily closing our homes to all visitors. We will notify you of this at the time and ensure that you are able to stay in touch with your loved one throughout this period.
We understand that this is truly a difficult time for everyone but our residents really do come first and we know you will join us in doing everything we can to keep them safe.
Thank you for your continued co-operation,
