Covid 19 - Coronavirus Update - 12th April 2021

Published: Monday 12th April 2021

To all our residents, relatives and friends,

COVID 19 (Coronavirus) – Update

Following the ongoing drop in community infection rates we are pleased to see that the government roadmap is moving forward with further relaxation of Coronavirus guidelines, both for our homes and our residents and also for the wider community.

It has been wonderful to see our residents spending time with their families and friends over the past few weeks and to be able to resume some much-needed physical contact, whilst still remaining as safe as possible.

As per government guidelines, we are now able to welcome two visitors for each resident as well as one child under 2 years of age, if they are the son or daughter of one of the nominated visitors.  This is a hugely important milestone as it may mean that some of our residents will be able to meet grandchildren or even great-grandchildren for the first time and spend quality time with them.

As with each guideline update, Ideal Carehomes will implement changes with the safety of everyone in our homes and our visitors at the upmost importance.  Visits will continue to be by appointment only, in our Covid-safe visitor rooms and each visitor will be required to take a Covid test and await the results as well as don the appropriate PPE (which will be provided) prior to the visit.

Please note that only one guest will be able to visit at any one time, unless both nominated visitors are part of the same bubble.

We look forward to seeing you and may I take this opportunity to thank you for your cooperation, and to thank our staff teams for facilitating these visits and for their continued hard work and dedication when caring for our residents.

Kind regards,

Stacey Linn, Managing Director, Ideal Carehomes
