To all our residents, relatives and friends,
There has been another important step forward for our homes as guidelines now state that care home residents are able to go on out-of-home visits without the requirement to isolate when they return.
This means that residents can go out with one of their named visitors to enjoy a walk or perhaps to visit a garden. The guidelines do state that whilst away from the home, residents must remain outdoors at all times and should not be part of a larger group of people, ensuring they are washing hands regularly and are social distancing from others.
We are so pleased that the government roadmap continues in the right direction and we are able to ease restrictions further, albeit in a slow and controlled way in order to keep residents safe. It has been wonderful over the last few weeks to welcome our named visitors back to our homes, as well as hairdressers and even some outdoor entertainers where it has been safe to do so. Do make sure you are following your home’s Facebook page in order to keep up with our resident’s activities.
Your Home Manager will be able to make arrangements and book an out-of-home visit with your loved one should you wish to do this.
I will hopefully be back in touch soon as things continue to move forward for us, our residents and the country as a whole.
