Care Home Residents Invite Community for Cuppa and a Chat

Residents from Stoke Bardolph care home, Rivendell View, are encouraging people in their area to join them every Friday from 10:00 for their Chatty Café.

Designed to bring people together and tackle feelings of loneliness, the Chatty Café is open to all, offering the opportunity to meet new people and make new friends.

Guests are invited to sit and have a chat with staff and residents at Rivendell View whilst enjoying a hot drink and homemade treats, freshly prepared by the home’s kitchen team.

88-year-old resident at Rivendell View, Brian Parsons, said, ‘I’m really happy that we can get involved in the Chatty Café, it helps us to feel part of our local community.’

Lisa Tungate, the Home Manager at Rivendell View, added, ‘At Rivendell View, we think everyone should have someone to talk to when they need it. We hope our Chatty Café will provide people with a safe space where they feel welcome to come and enjoy a good old natter.’
