Two staff members from Greenacres care home in Meltham recently celebrated their Decade of Dedication, in honour of their tenth year working in the home.
Domestic Assistant, Karen Oldham, joined the Greenacres family in 2012 as a Kitchen Assistant.
Moving to the Domestic team in 2022, Karen said she ‘hasn’t looked back since’ joining the team ten years ago. Karen said,
‘I had heard that Greenacres was a great place to work, and it must have been true because I’m still here ten years later! We have such a friendly home, and a great team – the residents really benefit from the positive environment at Greenacres.’
Sarah Tomczynski, the Registered Care Manager at Greenacres, is another team member celebrating her Decade of Dedication. Sarah said,
‘I joined the Greenacres team as a Night Care Manager, worked my way up to become Registered Care Manager in 2017 and now I can’t imagine doing anything else!
‘Greenacres is an amazing place to work. Our home has such a welcoming atmosphere, it’s a great place to work and such a special career to have.’
Verity Taylor, the General Manager at Greenacres, congratulated Karen and Sarah on their Decade of Dedication, and presented them with a certificate, flowers, and a celebratory cake. Verity said,
‘Karen and Sarah are such valued, hard-working members of the team. I couldn’t be any prouder of everything they’ve achieved over the past ten years, providing the best person-centred care to our residents, and giving them the aspirational lifestyle they deserve.
I’d like to say a huge thank you to both women. We sincerely appreciate your hard work and efforts year after year – again, congratulations on achieving this milestone anniversary!’
