A new luxury care home in Loughborough is set to open its doors this month under the expert guidance of experienced care professionals, Tracy Taylor and Preet Hundal.
Ideal Carehomes, the operator behind Woodthorpe Lodge, has appointed Tracy as Registered Care Manager and Preet as General Manager.
The pair will work together to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to Woodthorpe Lodge residents, through tailored care plans and fantastic lifestyle options.

Love of music brings Betty and Brian back together
A care home resident from Dewsbury has been reunited with her former friend and colleague a whopping 68 years after last seeing him.
Betty Teale, 88, who lives at Ashworth Grange care home in Dewsbury, bumped into Brian Holroyd, now 90, after attending a singing group at Avery Mews care home in Heckmondwike where he now lives.
The former colleagues, who both used to work at Holroyd and Pickersgill Auctioneers in Dewsbury almost seven decades ago, have not seen each other since Betty left the company in 1951.

A Nottingham care worker has launched a new singing group to bring joy to residents at Fairway View through the power of music.
Tracey Kemp, who has worked at Ideal Carehomes’ Fairway View in Bulwell for over 5 years, has launched the ‘Sunshine Singers’ group, which was inspired by, and named after, the residents’ favorite song – You Are My Sunshine.
Having formed the group this summer, Tracey comes in on her day off to meet with the residents every week, where they sing their favourite songs from years gone by.

Newfield Lodge knitters to support West Yorkshire Police initiative .
Big-hearted residents at a Castleford care home have picked up their knitting needles in earnest, as they get ready to make an army of so-called ‘Bobby Buddies’ as part of a new initiative launched by West Yorkshire Police.
Super-knitter Joyce Dowse, who lives at Newfield Lodge on Brookfield Avenue, is rallying her friends to get involved with the scheme, in which the local force has asked community members to knit teddy bears which can be handed out to distressed or anxious children.

Mayor of Kirklees joins care home residents and staff at summer party
Residents from not one, but four Yorkshire care homes took a step back in time to the summer of 1940 for one day only this August, at Ideal Carehomes’ ‘roaring forties’ dance party.
The event at Lockwood Park’s Waterloo Suite brought together residents from four Ideal Carehomes – Lydgate Lodge in Batley, Dewsbury’s Ashworth Grange, Greenacres in Meltham and Castleford’s Newfield Lodge, on Thursday 1st August.

Urmston care home De Brook Lodge has been crowned the North West winner of Ideal Carehome’s annual ‘Gardens in Bloom’ competition.
The contest, which launched in May, encouraged both staff and residents across the operator’s 18 homes to work together to embrace their love of the great outdoors by devising and implementing an exciting revamp for their outdoor spaces.
